According to the latest reports on the web Google just launched Chrome for iOS and it’s now available for download but as per the latest article at techcrunch the browser is not upto the expectations as it doesn’t feature Google’s fast JavaScript rendering engine and instead works on Apple’s relatively slow UIWebView to render web pages.

According to the Google Chrome Blog:

“Starting today, Chrome is also available for your iPhone and iPad. That means you can enjoy the same speedy and simple Chrome experience across your devices. Also, by signing in to Chrome, you can easily move from your desktop, laptop, smartphone and tablet and have all of your stuff with you.”

The one distinguishing feature of chrome which has made it one of the best browsers available to us is is lighting speed but as per the analysis of the browser by techcrunch that’s not the feature you’ll find in the iOS version of Google Chrome.

As per Techcrunch:

“If  you’ve ever used Chrome on Android, you’ll feel right at home with the iOS version. A few icons have moved around, but overall, it’s pretty much the same interface. That is, for the most part, a good thing. Google does a nice job with its new tab page and tab switcher, for example. It’s a very fluid, visual experience that I personally prefer to Apple’s tab switcher”.
